MUSEO HISTÓRICO MILITAR - VALENCIA
is located in the barracks of San Juan de la Ribera in Valencia Paseo de la Alameda. It was built in 1898 and has been occupied successively by infantry units, Supply and Logistics, where, at present, the only purpose built headquarters, in place in the city, giving it a very important historical value.
most striking aspect of the construction, besides the typical and representative structure of large buildings that overlook a courtyard, once prepared for the formation of units with livestock, is the lining of court cited a typical Valencian tile, which you can see a large mural dedicated to Spain, represented by a large tree whose roots are born in all regions within it.
existing funds from here, basically, the museum was established in 1990 V/31 Maintenance Group (formerly Artillery) by Colonel Don Ángel M. Adam Garcia (great promoter of this initiative, untiring) and the contributions of the units that have been dissolved in Military Region "Levante" in the beginning and at the Military Region "Center" later. The vast majority of its funds are from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, and its collections include: flags and banners, Uniformity, Models, Dioramas and miniatures, Techniques and Logistics, Heavy and Light Weapons, Militaria, Arms and Bodies, Civil War (1936 -39), peacekeeping missions, Fine Arts, and Information and pictures with individual pieces in all libraries.
